Metrowagonmash (MWM, part of TMH) sent 20 cars (4 trains) of the 81-765.B / 766.B model to the Baku Metro. 

The contract for the manufacture and supply of 60 metro cars of the 81-765.B / 766.B model was signed by Metrowagonmash and the Baku Metro in the fall of 2019. At the end of June, the rolling stock passed the acceptance procedure. Representatives of the customer, together with the specialists of the factory, checked the functionality of all metro train systems before being sent to the capital of Azerbaijan.

The metro cars of the 81-765.B/766.B model are provided with high-quality noise and heat insulation, air conditioning and ventilation systems are installed. An automatic air disinfection system using UV filters provides additional protection against the spread of viral and bacterial infections. The passenger salon is equipped with LED lamps that change lighting depending on the time of day - invigorating cold light in the morning and relaxing warm in the evening, USB sockets are provided for charging electronic devices and other gadgets. Seat cover is made of durable fabric that is resistant to damage.

The head cars are equipped with seats for passengers with limited mobility, as well as areas for wheelchairs and bicycles. The design of the rolling stock provides for a single through passage, which allows passengers to freely move around the cars. The structure has enlarged doorways, which makes it possible to speed up the boarding and un-boarding of passengers, a new light warning system for opening and closing doors is used. An original color scheme has been developed specially for Baku, the design of the headlights has been modified, and an information system adapted to local conditions. The service life of metro cars is designed for 30 years.

In the period from 2020 to 2023, the factory must hand over to the customer 12 five-car metro trains.

Metrowagonmash has been supplying rolling stock to the capital of Azerbaijan since 1967. The Baku Metro operates over 300 metro cars manufactured in Mytishchi.
