JSC Metrowagonmash (Mytishchi, Moscow region, part of JSC Transmashholding) and CJSC Baku Metro signed a contract for the supply of 30 cars 81-765B./766.B model to the capital of Azerbaijan. This was reported in the Directorate for External Relations and Corporate Communications of the holding.

In accordance with the Contract, 6 trains will be produced for the Baku Metro by the end of 2019. Each train will consist of two head motor cars with control cabin and three intermediate motor cars.

The Contract was signed by the Director General of JSC Metrowagonmash Boris Bogatyrev and the Chairman of CJSC Baki Metro Zaur Huseynov. The first delivery of new cars in Baku is planned by the 2nd quarter of this year.

Baki metro fleet will be replenished with new metro cars manufactured by the Mytishchi factory since 2017. Compared with the rolling stock of the previous models, the trains have wider doorways. A passage through the entire train is provided.

A new light warning system is used for doors opening and closing is installed in the trains 81-765.B/766.B. The design has good noise and heat insulation; the cars are equipped with air conditioning and ventilation systems, USB-sockets for passengers’ electronic devices charging. Platforms for disabled people and places for wheelchairs and bicycles are provided in the salons of the head cars.

The original colorographic scheme was developed specially for Baku Metropolitan, the headlights were modified, and a new information system adapted to local conditions was used.

JSC Metrowagonmash and Baku Metro are connected by a long history of mutually beneficial cooperation. The factory has supplied rolling stock to the capital of Azerbaijan since 1967. About 300 metro cars of Mytishchi factory are currently operated in Baki metropolitan. In 2015, Transmashholding delivered three five-car trains model 81-760.B/761.B/763.B with passage through the whole train. In 2018, the holding delivered two five-car trains model 81-765/766. Modern trains have received the most positive feedback from passengers and drivers.
