A solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the 5th Anniversary National Prize in the field of import substitution and technology transfer "Priority-2019" was held in the Great Hall of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. JSC «METROWAGONMASH» was recognized as the winner in the Industry nomination for the manufacture of RA-3 rail buses and metro cars 81-765 / 766/767 series.

The company became one of 86 nominees that made it to the final part of the competition according to the assessment of industrial and expert councils. In total, a record number of applications from Russian manufacturers - over 500 participants - were nominated for the "Priority-2019" Prize. The most popular were the nominations for information technology, mechanical engineering, equipment and consumer industry.

JSC "METROWAGONMASH" strives to annually increase the share of domestic parts in the rolling stock of metro trains and rail buses. Since 2016, the share of equipment of metro cars with domestic parts at the factory has grown from 45% to 57%, and the plans for the next year are to increase this share to 60%.

The National "Priority" Prize was established in 2015 to support and encourage Russian enterprises supporting the import substitution and technology development programs.
