Presentation of the first diesel multiple unit train DP-S (“DMU – Serbia”) developed for the Serbian railways (Zeleznice Srbije) has been held at Metrowagonmash (part of CJSC Transmashholding) on 18th of July, 2011. It was reported in the Directorate for External Relations of Holding. In accordance with the contract concluded in 2010, totally twelve diesel multiple units (DMU) will be manufactured in two cars version which will be handed over to the Customer in two years period. DMU will run on the railways with the European rail gauge of 1435 mm. In order to ensure safe and convenient movement of passengers throughout the whole train the cars are equipped with vestibule platforms HUBNER (platform width is 1550 mm and platform height is 2000mm) which allow cars to pass curves and inclined areas without let or hindrance. Cabin and saloon ventilation and heating system is by Webasto, Germany production. The multifunctional area which is intended to store baby strollers, bicycles, wheelchairs and oversize baggage is located close to the sanitary unit in the car. The number of folding seats is located on both sides of the car and opposite to the sanitary unit. The passenger saloon is provided by II class seats with armrests. Seats for passengers are located (except for the head parts of sections and toilets zone) according to the scheme 2 + 2 with the passage through the center of the saloon. Diesel train meets the requirements of recent international standards and European norms. Mytischi diesel train can become a worthy competitor of the products of major manufactures from the EU countries.
